Our Story
For six generations, Chief Winemaker Simon Gilbert and his forebear’s have been creating Australia’s finest of wines.
Using only the best selected grapes that are grown in South Australia and the cooler climates of the central region of New South Wales.
Very many of Simon’s wines are Gold Medal and Trophy wine winners.

Jilney is very privileged to have Simon leading the Jilney team!
Jilney was however, only created a few years ago, from a desire to create a new unique exciting range of Australian Wines based on the excellence of flavour, grapes and winemaking expertise.
Jilney is therefore, relative to the generations of Gilbert wine making….. a new comer.
Based in Mudgee in NSW, Jilney sources its premium grapes from its own vineyard in Mudgee, but also from highly selected long term grower relationships in NSW, South Australia and Western Australia.
Collaboration
Jilney CEO Mark Sydney joined with Simon Gilbert just after COVID to bring together premium growing land, winemaking operations and marketing strategies.
Together JILNEY is focussed on selected quality wines.
Jilney may not necessarily have a wine available in every grape varietal each year.

Bringing it together
At the Jilney winery in Mudgee, we have enormous capacity to make quality wines. With our vineyard too, we can source and process over 5000tonnes of grapes per annum easily.
At our Mudgee home, we have amalgamated our business operations across all other locations to bring a full-service experience to our wine lovers. We hope soon to reopen our Mudgee Cellar Door after its refurbishment.
